Cutting corners with your board supplier and utilising low cost material can have a very damaging effect with the repercussions effecting the finished look of your packaging. Two cartons for the same drug printed at different times, standing side by side on a pharmacist shelf with varying shades of colour are not only damaging to the brand but also consumer confidence as counterfeit questions are then raised. It is also important that your carton board comes from a sustainable accredited source where the mill manages its forests and adheres to FSC or PEFC rules. Purchasing material from a non-ethical source could result in you contributing unwittingly to environmental problems.

From carton concept through to delivered product, Reelvision Print has structured its business to be at the forefront of service standards with a ‘can do’ attitude to address even the most challenging of deadlines. As a carton printer based in Lancashire the power of the sun is not what automatically springs to mind. However, with one eye on the future and our long term commitment to the environment, coupled with the spiralling costs of energy, it was a relatively easy decision to invest in 176 solar panels to help improve our efficiency, reduce our carbon foot print and sell power back to the grid.

Seven years ago when Reelvision was being established, the big dilemma was finding a building that would be secure in its own grounds and allow for the growth plan outlined in their ten year business plan. The unit in Haslingden Lancashire seemed perfect for their manufacturing process flow, it could accommodate the demands of PS9000, be secure in its own lock up grounds and with an acre of land there was room to expand the operation.
It’s easy to forget that our packaging started life as a tree, so a visit to the mill for customers and staff really helped cement our understanding.
